The Estonian Patent Office now open to visitors
As of 1 June 2020, the Estonian Patent Office returned to its regular office hours and is open to visitors. The Office was closed to the public during the emergency situation declared in March due to the novel coronavirus outbreak. It is now possible to file applications and other documents by delivering them to the reception yet again, although use of e-channels is recommended as always.
It should be noted that there are no changes to the procedures related to industrial property objects, i.e. no additional deadlines nor other measures have been prescribed due to the novel coronavirus outbreak, and the same rules are applicable as usual. The Patent Office has nonetheless noted that they are prepared to assess all situations on a case-by-case basis.
