World Intellectual Property Day is celebrated on 26 April

On 26 April all the world is celebrating the World Intellectual Property Day to inform the public about intellectual property rights. In 2018 the World Intellectual Property Day celebrates the brilliance of women because more than ever before, women are taking up leadership roles in science, technology, business and art.

To celebrate the Intellectual Property Day in Estonia, the Estonian Patent Office will host a free seminar on 18 April, titled „Intellectual Property in Business – Whether and How to Protect Our Creation?“. In addition, Tartu City Government and the Patent Office are hosting another free seminar „How to Protect Your Business’s Intellectual Property?“ in Tartu on 12 April. At the seminar, RestMark Metida is also represented as lawyer Maria Silvia Martinson will make a presentation on the protection of trade mark owners’ rights.
